The largest attended one day event in Milton will provide an array of exciting activities to include fantastic live music, wide variety of entertainment, diverse food choices, arts and crafts, fun activities for all ages, and the finale featuring spectacular fireworks under the stars. Admission is FREE, however donations at the gate are appreciated!
Oakville's 2019 Canada Day Celebration
July 1, 2019 6pm - 10:30pm Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park
Join us for an evening celebration starting at 6 p.m., with the fireworks show at 10 p.m. (weather permitting). Bring a blanket or lawn chair and get to the park early to ensure a great seat for the fireworks over the water. Family activities, music and food trucks will start in the park at 6 p.m. Road closures and parking restrictions will be in effect before and during the event.

Bring your national pride to Burlington's Canada Day celebration and enjoy free Canadian-inspired activities and entertainment at a beautiful lakeside setting. Entertainment includes Bharatham Academy of Indian Dance, Official welcome by Mayor Marianne Meed Ward, elected official and others featuring the Burlington Teen Tour Band and Japanese Taiko and Music Group, White Pine Dancers, Symphony on the Bay, Johannes Linstead, Fireworks. Park Activities include Yoga by the Pier, Canada Day 5k Run and Citizenship Ceremony. Enjoy numerous other event highlights including: stilt walkers, face painters, hair artists, giant inflatables, sampling booths, great food, vendors and lots of true Canadian spirit!

The Acton Fire Fighters Association once again is hosting the Canada Day Fireworks in Acton on holiday Monday, July 1st! Bring your neighbours and maybe your city friends who have never witnessed the Best Small Town Fireworks show around. Let the new people know that the show is about 25-30 minutes long, setting off fireworks over the calm reflection of Fairy Lake. Cost: "Donate at the Gate"

The Secret Gardens of Milton

Take a tour through nine, gorgeous, town and country gardens. Four gardens in town and four in the country. The ninth garden showcases the brand new Milton Hospital “Serenity Garden’, planted and maintained by the Society’s volunteers. One of the many community gardens the Society looks after to help beautify Milton. Highlights of the Tour: Tour some of the Milton’s beautiful private gardens, Converse with our experienced Horticulture Society’s members, Discover useful insights on design and planting ideas, Soak up and enjoy the beauty of the gardens. This self-guided tour comes with a booklet describing the gardens and driving route suggestions. Start where you choose and proceed at your own pace. The tour takes place rain or shine (no refunds are offered as this is a fundraiser for the not-for-profit Society). Stop for lunch at a favorite restaurant along the route; several are included in the booklet. Take time to enjoy each garden.

Try It Series - Rock Climbing

Conservation Halton and ONE AXE Pursuits have teamed up to offer you an introductory rock climbing course at Rattlesnake Point! If you have never tried climbing before and are curious about the activity, this half day course is for you. You will spend half a day at the cliff learning about safety, equipment use and care, basic knots and climbing techniques. This program is well suited for both individuals and families who are looking to try the sport. No previous experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided.
