Ahhh the month of love. There is so many events to take part in with your one and only and all the loves of your life. Read on to learn more about all the fun activities for the whole family and how you can spread the love to some great causes as well!

Annual Card Day

February 1, 2019   Grace Church Milton   11:30am - 3:30pm

Grace church is having an afternoon of Cards. Come out and play Euchre / Bid Euchre / Bridge.
Lunch will be provided. The cost is $10 per person and there will be prizes too.
This event is open to all.

 

PD Day Camp

February 1, 2019 & February 15, 2019  John Tonelli Sports Centre   11:30am - 1:30pm

PD Day Hockey Camp working on skills and drills with a scrimmage to finish up. Bring a light and dark jersey to make teams. 2006-07-08 Kids. Cost is $40/ session or $30/ session if you sign up for Feb 1 & 15.

 

PA Day at Cirque du Play

February 1, 2019   Cirque du Play   9am - 4pm

Calling all master builders! Students will learn physics and science while building a motorized LEGO® model during this fun and educational PA Day Camp held in an indoor playground. Additional activities include science experiments, STEM crafts and/or coding lessons.

 

Girls Inc. Milton 2019 PA Day Camps

February 1, 2019   Our Lady of Victory School   9am - 4pm

Discovery Leadership: In “Discovery Leadership” girls will develop their leadership skills and create lasting social change through community action projects. They will celebrate the heritage of girls and women as leaders and develop awareness of themselves as community resources and trustees of the common good.

 

Funded Agency Bus Tour/Field Trip

February 1, 2019   NUVO Network   9:15am - 1pm

You are invited to attend a field trip and relive your childhood by hopping on a bus with fellow community members while helping support United Way Halton & Hamilton. The field trip will be to three local agencies funded by United Way Halton & Hamilton, to interact and understand each agency and how they utilize their funding.

Valentine Dinner and Dance

Celebrate love and treat your Valentine by sharing a great evening of dinner and dance with friends while supporting a local charitable organization, the Townsend Smith Foundation. Love Does Gala

Please join us for a fun and elegant evening and help us to help women in crisis, distress, and transition. This year is very special as we are celebrating 30 years of Women Supporting Women! The night's activities include: open bar, antipasto bar, red carpet and photo booth, five course meal, live dinner entertainment, DJ and dancing and late night sweet and savoury table.

 

Pasta & Puppies

February 10, 2019   Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides   12pm - 3pm and 4pm - 6pm

Eat some noodles and pet many poodles for a good cause! Proceeds from this event will directly support Halton K9’s missions, to provide financial assistance to Dog Guide recipients with emergency veterinary services. Join us from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for delicious menu OR if you’re feeling adventurous, experience dining in the dark from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.! We promise poodles, labs and a delicious dinner with all proceeds making a difference to Dog Guide recipients. Seats are limited so make sure to book soon!

 

Valentines Fun Girls' Party

This Valentines event is for Girls going into Grade 7-9 September 2019. We will be making cards for our friends and/or family, serving valentines cupcakes, playing some games, and making new friends! This is an informal introduction to our Girls Camp for Summer 2019 for those of you who have not checked us out yet! Come out girls and get to know us and have some fun! Parents are welcome to stay or go out for a couples pre-Valentines treat! Event is by Kimberly Bentley and it is Hosted at So Charming.

Knowledge is power and learn how to apply and empower yourself in this fun and interactive workshop. We kick off with a pre-challenge session during the workshop. Included is a recommended easy to follow meal plan which incorporates desserts (because nothing is off limits) + the science behind your craving. The official five day challenge kicks off Monday February 11th: daily motivation and proven sugar busting habits sent to you via email.

This workshop is run by Registered Holistic Nutritionist and Life Yoga vet Leah Nicoletta, who struggled for years before conquering her own sweet tooth.

Something’s baking! Urban Paw & Sandy Bee Treats have teamed up & registered to participate in National Cupcake Day for Oakville Milton Humane Society. It’s an event for a cause close to Our Hearts, helping raise awareness and urgently-needed funds to support animals that are abused, abandoned or neglected. CNOY Milton 2019 - Coldest Night of the Year Walk & Fundraiser

The Coldest Night of the Year is a fun, family-friendly national walk that helps you raise funds for charities that serve hungry, homeless and hurting people in your community. We walk in the cold and dark in MILTON to support all those in our community who are being crushed by struggle, trauma, shame and loneliness. To them - and to the community that witnesses our trek in the dark - we declare together that “Everybody matters. Everybody belongs. And yes, we need each other.” Walk with us on February 23rd in support of Milton Transitional Housing & working to end homelessness in our community.
