Halton Skills Competition

Craig Kielburger Secondary School is proud to host the 30th Annual Halton Skills Competition on April 2nd 2019. This event will see over 1,200 students from around Halton competing in around 40 events in skilled trades, computers and robotics. Thousands of other students from the region will also be bused in to view the competition on the day. There will be events such as a downhill distance challenge for hand built go carts and competitions in carpentry, auto mechanics, hair styling, landscaping, robotic, cooking and baking plus many more. A Career Showcase is also part of the event with local colleges, business and industry showing students what they have to offer as far as continuing education and jobs. This event will also be open to the public although parking may be limited.

Downtown Milton Easter Egg Hunt

Hunt for Easter treats and join in fun activities at participating businesses. Be sure to bring your Easter baskets and wear your bunny ears! Main St. E. will be closed to vehicles from Martin St. to James St. for the event to ensure everyone stays safe. This year we are partnering with the MCRC - Milton Community Resource Centre to help them raise funds for services that support local families.
The Office of MPP Parm Gill will be hosting a FREE pancake breakfast at the event! Hot pancakes with local maple syrup will be served starting at 9:30 a.m.

Canada's Largest Egg Hunt

Through the creation of the LARGEST egg hunt in Canada, we are providing families with a unique opportunity to have fun and collaborate with each other in this team-based event. This event also strives to foster intentional presence of its attendees by making it a deviceless environment. We aim to deliver an experience that is truly memorable. This will NOT be a traditional egg hunt! Families will now have to interact with each other AND work with other families to achieve a common goal - score the most POINTS! Families will be divided into 4 colour teams – blue, red, green and yellow. Each team will search through their coloured eggs to find challenges and complete them before the 1-hour time limit is up. The winning team will get a chance to win a terrific family experience package. Prizes will also be hidden inside the eggs to add to the FUN!

3rd Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

Benefiting the Rockwood Nursery School. Our headlining feature of the Easter egg hunt has 3 different age categories. The first age group is 0-3 years which starts at 11am (parents can accompany child in the hunt), 4-6 years starts at 11:45am (parent can accompany the child onto the field but not participate in the hunt) and our final group 7-12 years starts at 12:30pm (no parents to accompany the child during the hunt). On top of the Easter egg hunt, we have "Golden Egg" prizes, games, Zumba, music, story time, face painting, food trucks and a special guest appearance by the Easter Bunny himself!! and SO MUCH MORE!!! This event is RAIN OR SHINE and remember to bring along your own Easter baskets for the hunt.

Real Men Do Zumba

Local men are volunteering their time to shake it for a great cause. Reach out Center for Milton has been helping our kids with loss, suicide prevention, change in family dynamics, bullying and more for many years and yearly we like to give back by hosting a FUN fundraiser for ROCK. Zumba Instructors will also be donating their time for this cause. We welcome men/women spectators for this cause but would LOVE EVEN MORE for you to join in on the FUN to support mental health awareness. Light snacks and water will be provided. Vendors (health/fitness/wellness related will be on site as well as well as silent auction items and door prizes!
