Transportation themed Crafts & Sensory for Preschoolers

Our curriculum theme this month is all about transportation. With all the different types of transportation available to us, there were alot of crafts to pick from. Here are just a few of our favourites.

Car Alphabet

This is a great way to help your kids learn the alphabet and about all the different vehicles they may see on the road. Another great craft from No Time For Flash Cards

Construction Site Sensory Bin

Are you a fan of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle? Here's a great way to reuse the shredded paper you may have in your home. A lot of kids can't get enough of seeing all the big machines on construction sites so they are going to love this sensory bin from Busy Toddler.

Hot Wheels Box Ramp

Kids love to play with hot wheels but we all know how exoensive it is to buy the tracks. Frugal Fun For Boys and Girls shows us how we can make a track that the kids will have a ton of playing with.

Name Train

Are you littles learning to spell? One of the first words we learn to spell is our name. This craft helps our littles spell their name while creating a train. It can also help them with learning shapes and colours. Thanks to the Entertainment Junction for sharing this craft.

Airplane Piggy Bank

Are your kids fascinated with planes? I know mine are. Here's a fun craft that will help your kid make their own plane with the added benefit of teaching them how to save money. Thanks to Angie's List for the tip.

Boat Themed Jello Sensory Bin

Getting messy is so much fun and your littles are going to love this sensory bin that you won't have to worry if they get any of the coloured "water" in their mouth. Thanks again to Busy Toddler!
